Hi, all, I am back! It has been such a long time since I have posted anything here, unfortunately. First, my computer was out of commission for a bit and second, it seemed this year just flew by. Needless to say, making recipes for the site just kept falling to the bottom of my to-do list.
I have so much to update you all with! We had such an exciting year. After our trip to Disney World last November we decided that it was time to start trying to have a baby and in February we found out that we were expecting. This pregnancy was a little harder than my first. I battled morning sickness again for the first 20 weeks, I was always exhausted (from chasing around a toddler) and I had issues with my blood pressure again, which caused an early induction at 38 weeks and 5 days. Little Ella Rose came into the world on October 16, weighing 6 lbs 15 oz and 21 inches long! Grace has been such a good big sister and a good helper. She does get a little jealous that I cannot give her my full attention now and then, especially at nap time, but other than that the adjustment has been great. I am still on my 12 week maternity leave, which I am loving all too much, so I figured now was the perfect time to focus on my blog again.
I have a few recipes that I need to get to posting, but in the meantime I think I may be changing the niche of my blog. Instead of focusing just on cooking I think I might add more on lifestyle. Cooking and baking will always be priority on the blog, but I might add a parenting and a DIY section.
I am so looking forward to blogging again and for the new year. I decided my mantra for 2018 will be to lose weight and to lose debt. I really want to focus on my health and dropping the baby weight from my last two pregnancies. The biggest hurdle there is I really love to bake, so I will do my best to balance eating healthy and working out while still sharing some really sweet recipes with you all. Also, I need to focus on getting financially healthy as well, because in a couple years we would like to get a new car and remodel our house, so making sacrifices now will pay dividends then.
That is all for now. I wish you all a Happy Holidays!
Stay tuned for the cookie recipe I will be posting tomorrow!
